Topper

So my cousin Brittany got married about three weeks ago ( so I have been out of town and not been able to post for almost a month) and asked me to sculpt her cake topper for her in a cute style. here is the finished topper minus the cake, I will try to find some more pics of it on the cake.

Very cute, Terrell! Did you do a drawing first to determine style? What do you prefer to use for sculpt? I love the stylized shapes/design.

hi Eric,
yeah I did a sketch first to send to my cousin to get her approval, then sculpted it in sculpey. the base is a cast resin disk so there would be no issues with toxic cake. I actually prefer to use wax when sculpting, and then casting in resin if possible, but this needed to be done asap.

Solid design. How long did it take to sculpt this?

Hey Jesse, great to hear from you, i sculpted and painted this overnight, so about 6 or 7 hours, i had an idea of what i wanted for about a week though, so when it came to putting tool to sculpey it went pretty quick. you should drop me an email sometime, I'd love to chat and see how things are going.
