Happy Birthday Stacy.

So this past week was my coworker Stacy's Birthday. I made her a gift card for a birthday lunch from myself and my other team member JD. Happy Birthday Stacy.

Holy Cow! It's been two years?

I can't believe its been two years since my last post. Two kids and work have definitely taken over all my time. Here's a poster i did last fall for a show back in Arkansas for the U of A Ft. Smith. It was part of an alumni show and I am glad I got to take part in it. The courthouse illustrated ( for those who do not know ) is the Van Buren Courthouse, I was going for a "Main Street Disneyland" feel, and I think it came out well. let me know what you think.

Starfighter

So with my workload increasing over the holidays, I had to get this one done quick. It was for an 80's show down in the City of Orange. It's a print since I did it in Illustrator, I'd love to get an art quality printer, maybe that'll be a big purchase for me this year. I did this one from the Last Starfighter, and another as an Airwolf poster. If you guys really want to see Airwolf then let me know and I'll post it.

Money Tree in the Fall

So here is a quick Photoshop painting I did for a community blog called Big C little a. Our word/ theme for October was Fall, and So I did a money tree ( if you look closely the leaves are dollars ) since Wall Street is in such a mess.

Topper

So my cousin Brittany got married about three weeks ago ( so I have been out of town and not been able to post for almost a month) and asked me to sculpt her cake topper for her in a cute style. here is the finished topper minus the cake, I will try to find some more pics of it on the cake.

"I'm Just a Bill"

So here is "Bill" that i did for gum or mints to tie into the 70's theme. He stands in a a towering 2" and is made from scrap paper.

Trash Tank

CHARGE!!! So what do you get when you have an old wheat thins box, some scissors, glue, a pen and about an hour of time to kill? you get Trash Tank! Call it recycled art, Call it cute, At 4" tall you can even call it tiny, but I call it something fun to do while I wait for my files to transfer to my iDisk.

Blah Blah Blah

Ok, So I haven't posted anything in a while since I've been buried in work, but I did come across this sketch I did a while back when I used to work at Disney. It's been almost two years since I hung up my mouse ears, and if anything, I miss all the wonderful people I got to know and work with. The thing I don't miss however are the meetings upon meetings...

Little Match Girl

I did a few drawings for the Gum or Mints blog. This past months theme was the Little Match Girl by Hans Christian Andersen. It's a pretty depressing story, but a good story. So, earlier this year I got a DVD called Capt. Midnight. It was a serial from the 30's So i did a color sketch, just for my own amusement.

I went to the drawing club a couple of weeks back and am just getting around to posting my drawings from that session, enjoy.

Matador

So I decided that I needed to go to the drawing club to get in some much needed practice. The theme was Matador and I had a good time. I've been working on the computer so much lately that it feels good to draw with good ol pencil and paper. I think I'll go back next week.

So much for my posting once a month, but I have a pretty good excuse. I have been pretty busy with my brand new baby boy. here is a cute image I did for my father-in-law. we put it on a mug for his birthday as "hint" that Paden was on his way, and now he's here : )

HMS Surprise

I just finished my Intro to Maya class at Gnomon a couple of weeks ago. I thought I would post my final project so everyone could see it. This model of the HMS Surprise was built using only nurbs since that was the main focus of the class. But I am taking a polygon modeling class this semester. I am really enjoying the classes and I am learning a lot. I'll post more projects as I get them done.

This is a cannon I did in Maya, I have started taking classes and this is one of my first attempts. I am still figuring out details like rope and rigging , but I didn't think it was too bad for a first try.
